Veteran actor Dharmendra’s demise has left Salman Khan extremely emotional on the sets of Bigg Boss 19. In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, he even said that he wished he did not have to host this episode. For the unversed, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, after which the entire Bollywood industry has been in mourning. From film stars visiting his residence and prayer meets, to heartfelt posts on social media, many big names have already paid tribute to the legendary actor.

Salman Khan gets emotional

During the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan became emotional while paying tribute to Dharmendra. While speaking about him, Salman got visibly moved. He said, “Yeh hafta waise hi jo guzra hai, manatein maang kar, prarthnayein karke, aansuon ke saath guzra hai. Desh ko ek bahut hi bada jhatka laga hai, fans ko ek bahut hi bada jhatka laga hai. Industry ko ek bahut hi bada sadma pahuncha hai (This week has passed with prayers, wishes, and tears. The country has suffered a huge shock, the fans have suffered an even bigger one, and the industry has been deeply shaken.).”

He continued, saying “I guess aap samajh rahe hain main kinki baat kar raha hoon. Anyway, God bless his soul. I wish I wasn’t doing this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar, but life goes on (I guess you know who I’m talking about. Anyway, God bless his soul. I wish I didn’t have to do this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar, but… life goes on.).”

Dharmendra and Salman’s Special Connection

Dharmendra and Salman Khan shared a very special bond. On several occasions, Dharmendra had lovingly referred to Salman as his third son, including his biological sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Earlier, when Salman hosted the show Dus Ka Dum, Dharmendra appeared on the set with Sunny and Bobby Deol. During the episode, he talked about his special bond with Salman and their similarities. Salman too has mentioned multiple times how deeply he admired Dharmendra. Salman has often even recreated Dharmendra’s dance steps.
